About me
Story about my journey
My story as an artist probably started as early as when I was 6 years old, when my kindergarten teacher asked us to draw what we wanted to be when we grow up.
I wanted to be an artist.
At that time I didn’t even quite understand what that meant and it took me nearly 30 years to figure this out.
What makes an artist?
Does one become an artist when one’s art is being bought or published in a famous magazine or is it someone who is so inspired to create that it seems like your head will explode if you don’t put your creativity in action, or does one have to wear clothes that stand out and draw people’s attention?
I’ve explored almost all stages of it.
I have experimented with my visual expression, both in clothes and art. I studied to gain confidence to back up my knowledge, yet I landed an art style that on the surface seems so simple yet is not that easy to make.
It was a long journey and for most years I was far away from this path.
I worked different jobs, lived different places, yet creativity, no matter its shape (photography, interior architecture, drawing on sea shells or even decorating for special events) has always followed me.
I decided that it was time to do something about it and put my journey into one place: this webpage.
So if you’ve read this far, I’m so very appreciative of your time, and if you are interested to hear more, I want to show you a little bit of my messy and unperfect journey. Maybe it could serve you, as an inspiration, maybe a reminder that behind polished and finished touches there often hides a very different reality, a reality of many, many times when you put it aside because you don’t have courage to show it to others, or even experimental attempts that land in a trash bin.
I have never showcased my art in any gallery or received any public admiration but I recently had the honor to receive an anonymous donation and maybe one day I’ll be able to return the favor to someone else.
Sometimes just some gentle nudge from strangers can be enough for you to actually take action towards your dreams.
So be brave, be curious, be creative! You never know how life will turn out in years from now. It’s never too late! I promise, it’s better to be done than perfect, something I still keep reminding myself too!
